Minimally Invasive Surgery

Minimally Invasive Surgery is a type of surgery that involves smaller incisions and shorter recovery. The surgeon inserts slender instruments and a tiny camera into the organ to help visualize progress on monitor. It usually involves operations in the abdomen including cholecystectomy, gastric cancer, colon cancer, appendectomy, hernia, and bariatric surgery.

The benefits of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) are less trauma or pain, small incisions, shorter hospital stay, shorter recovery time, less scarring, fewer complications, less infections, and reduced blood loss.

Currently, Minimally Invasive Surgery or Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy is mostly recommended than open of abdomen surgery due to less pain, quick recovery, short hospital stay, and less thick membrane surrounding the organ.
